EFM ACADEMY | EFM ACADEMY BOARD
2010 - 2011

The board is responsible for E.F.M. Academy and has a leading role in guiding the association. The board is subdivided in six functions, namely: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Academic Activities coordinator and Social Activities coordinator. The current board 2010-2011 consists of:

Charlotte Behnke - President

The president task is divided into two parts, namely the internal coordination of the board, as well as the external representation of E.F.M. Academy. Next to the final responsibility for the general behavior of E.F.M. Academy, she is specifically responsible for strategic planning and the implementation of strategic plans. Motivating all Board and Active Members, as well as coaching for good performance are vital tasks that aim at creating and maintaining an efficient and pleasant working atmosphere. Moreover, the president leads every board meeting and general member meetings. Finally, she maintains the contact with external parties, such as faculty key personnel and other faculty study associations that cooperate under the umbrella of the UNILINK foundation.

Sylvie Poels - Vice President

The vice president is of vital importance for our association. She is responsible for attracting and maintaining the relationships with our sponsors. Moreover the vice president should at all times be able to replace the president. Furthermore, this person administers and maintains the E.F.M. Academy alumni network and organizes respective alumni activities, such as a day and regular drinks.

Christian Moeller - Secretary

The secretary is the backbone of our association. He is responsible for all administrative work within EFM Academy (like the members’ administration and mail), responsible for the data structure on the server, for buying office supplies, for maintaining the communication with general and active members, for maintaining the relationship with the reduction bureau, and for the minutes of the board meetings and general members meetings. The Member Magazine, Accent, which is published on a semiannual basis, is the direct responsibility of the Secretary, as he is the board deputy of the Magazine committee.

Chantal Römgens - Treasurer

The treasurer addresses all questions concerning where the money of our association will be allocated. She is responsible for all financial business of E.F.M. Academy. Moreover the treasurer is responsible for financial decisions and budgets. Since the treasurer is responsible for the financial health of E.F.M. Academy, one has to get permission of the treasurer when making any payment or investment in the name of E.F.M. Academy. The treasurer is also responsible for collecting the membership fees of FAME members and collecting money for the activities, such as exam trainings & extra tutorials, we offer.

Paula Bode - Academic Activities Coordinator

The Academic Activities Coordinator organizes block related activities such as workshops, information activities such as the major information day (MID) and the study choice information day (SCID) and nonblock related activities such as company visits and skills trainings. She supervises the Academic Committee, which organizes the Extra Tutorials and Exam Trainings and collects the study materials such as old exams and summaries and puts them online on our website. This person leads the Study Trip committee as well.

Sophie Schaefgen - Social Actities Coordinator

The Social Activities Coordinator is responsible for two different committees; the Social Activities Committee as well as the Foreign Trip Committee. With the Social Activities Committee she organizes the E.F.M. block parties such as the Craze Party and others like the Kick-Off Party. Active Member activities, such as the Active Member Day are organized by the committee as well, while the Active Member Weekend is organized by the Social Activities Coordinator with one other board member. Inter-association parties such as the FAME parties and the Fusion Party require more coordination on her part. As responsible board member for the Foreign Trip Committee she makes sure that the Foreign Trip provides a balanced experience of academic and social activities according to our missions and values. The booth hours are also part of his, making sure that Active Members do their two booth hours per block for ticket sale or promotion.
