OVERVIEW
EFM Academy is the study association of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) of Maastricht University. Our goal is to provide a bridge between the theory and practice for our 1700 members and non-members. To reach this goal EFM Academy organizes several academic and career oriented activities for students. EFM also provides a platform for students to socialize and get to know each other better. We achieve this by organizing several social events throughout the year. We have about 50 active members who help organize all the great activities.

Without the help of sponsors and advertisers we would be unable to organize all this. Therefore we provide several opportunities for companies to promote themselves. We are a non-profit organization, so our students will always benefit from the input of our sponsors. Before I go into details about the sponsor possibilities, let me elaborate on our activities and the communication to the students first.

ACTIVITIES
We organize company visits and InHouse days to provide a direct connection between the students and the company.  TNT, Deutsche Telekom, Bitburg, the Federal Cartell Office in Bonn and the satellite company SES Astra in Luxemburg are some examples of companies we visited in the past.
On our website the students can find exam material and summaries to practice. Some students need some extra support to pass the exams, that’s why we offer extra tutorials and exam trainings.
Furthermore we can organize guest lectures because of our connections to the university.
Once a year we organize a foreign trip. That way students get the chance to visit companies abroad.
On our alumni day former students of the University of Maastricht tell the students something about their working experience.
We bring out our magazine twice a year. It provides our members with interesting articles.
The best know social event of EFM is the Craze party, attracting more than 1400 students each time, four times a year. It attracts not only first and second year students, but also third year students and some students from other faculties. Throughout the year we organize occasional parties, like a Kick-Off party at the beginning of the year, but also a Halloween and Valentines party attracting about 750 students each.
To motivate and bond our 50 active members we organize some activities for them as well. An active member weekend, active member days and a weekly Tuesday drink are some examples.

COMMUNICATION
All these activities and services for our students are communicated through our website. They can sign up for extra tutorials, company visits, download our exam material and summaries, look at the pictures we took during our activities etc. We contact students by flyering as well.  Sometimes thousands of flyers are handed out to student for a single activity. There is a login area for our active members to support them. We also communicate to our members via our magazine.

SPONSOR POSSIBILITIES
EFM Academy is interested in sponsors for financial support, but we are also looking for added value for our members, active members and board members. We are looking for local companies, national companies and international companies as well as governmental institutions.
Besides organizing activities, our association provides several opportunities for companies to advertise. Via these options the student is able to find specific information about the company and for the business it becomes easier to approach the students.

In general we are very open-minded and flexible when it comes to sponsoring.

Advertise in ACCENT
EFM publishes its magazine called ACCENT twice a year. In each edition academic articles written by academic and professional people are covered. In addition, reviews of past events and announcement of upcoming activities are made. Companies have the possibility to advertise. The magazine has a print of about 1700 pieces and is distributed via mail to all members of EFM. We also use these as promotional material.

Advertise on the Website
As written before, our website is the way of communication to our students. All our members and also non-members visit our website on a regular base. For companies who are interested in regular sponsoring and visibility it is therefore interesting to place a company profile and link on their own page at our website. A logo will be visible on the homepage. Look under ‘Our sponsors’ to get a better idea of this.

Incidental advertisement is also possible on our advertisement space. This can be done to announce a certain event or a promotion of a product or service for our students.

OTHER WAYS OF ADVERTISEMENT
We can also cooperate in organizing a specific activity. You also have the ability to sponsor certain activities exclusively. Furthermore we can provide our members with discounts, for example via coupons, for your product or service. We can also provide our members with samples. We are quite flexible.
